This week is going to be short and sweet. I have a quick message to share that I’ve learned personally, yet took me some time to really connect with.  After a week of traveling, I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror. But that led to a message for myself and women struggling with body image that I will share today!

I fully believe that we cannot be our best if we don’t feel our best. I know for sure that in life, I’m not the best mom I can be when I feel run down or low energy.

We can control the amount of positive we consume, the foods we put in our body, and the amount of time we allocate towards rest.

3:18 WE DON’T SEE OUR BODY WHEN LOOKING IN THE MIRROR

We see our bodies as our mindset is, and as our choices are. I fully believe that you can love yourself fully (no matter what you look like physically), but that doesn’t mean that you don’t need to care for yourself.

During a recent trip, I wasn’t doing the things that helped me feel my best. Looking at myself in the mirror when I got home, I felt like crap, and immediately started pointing out the negativity and feeling frustrated. I quickly caught myself in that moment and pivoted and moved on. The next day, I looked in the mirror that morning and felt good!

A lot of people feel they cannot celebrate or be proud until they hit a certain goal physically. It is NOT about that and has never been about that. Health happens INSIDE first.

When you’re feeling well mentally & spiritually, you will make better choices affecting your physical wellness.
