Let Go of Fear by Shifting your Relationship With It

In this episode we talk about a topic I get asked about a lot. How do I let go of fear? In life and business, we have many of them…fear of being judged, fear of failure, fear of success.

When we learn how to shift our relationship with it, we can learn to let go of it.

Show Notes:

2:32 Fear is My Homeboy

There is a book I read called “Fear is My Homeboy”, by Judi Holler. I promise you it will shift so many things for you. The book talks about our overall relationship with it and how to get comfy seeing it and moving past it!

9:00 Emotions & Excitement

Your emotions around fear and your emotions around excitement are basically the same. The thing that shifts is our thoughts around it.

12:00 Are You Being Selfish?

If you don’t have a bigger reason to do the thing and to push through the fear, then it won’t ever mean enough to you to actually face it.

 17:04 The Fear of Judgement

I feel like this is a really big one, especially in our society with so many things going on social media. I mean if your picture doesn’t get a certain amount of likes, then all of the sudden you feel like a loser.

21:13 Social Media is What You Make It

You get to decide who is there and who is not on your social media. So if you’re afraid to put yourself out there because you’re afraid someone will see it, or you’re afraid of what they’ll think, just block them. You get to decide.

Final Thoughts

You have to be consistent with your practice in shifting this relationship. For me, it’s all about creating a morning and daily routine that sets me up for success.
