I want to have a conversation about seasons in your health journey and in life. You will learn a little bit about what I’ve been going through recently, because I think it’s something that’s probably quite relatable. We often create friction and frustration for ourselves around what we want. I remind you that whatever season you’re in, it’s right for you right now. Don’t beat yourself up about it!
A few months ago, I went through a gut health program and it had me feeling amazing in every way. I wondered why I would ever do anything differently. As I began to reintroduce foods, I was aware of how they were feeling in my body. I realized that it takes a lot of effort to be the most toned version of myself when it comes to my diet. But was I willing to sacrifice all the summer fun for that?
06:15 I’m Enjoying Life and Fun Foods
I am still moving my body 5-6 days a week and eating healthy for the most part, but I am enjoying life. I realized how those five or so pounds allow me to eat the fun stuff. Right now, being my most toned self is not worth it to me right now to miss out on life. This realization brought me some clarity.
09:25 There’s No Right or Wrong
You can either be super disciplined, or you can allow yourself some indulgence. There’s no right or wrong way. I want you to think about where you’re at in your health journey, or life, or business. Are you happy with the results you’re getting? Think about your goals and what you actually want. It’s not wrong if you want that.
12:00 External Pressure
Sometimes we beat ourselves up for wanting the things that we want because we feel pressure from other people. We often experience this internal tug with what we want and I encourage you to think about the reasons behind why you want this. Is it something you truly want? Or is it something that other people want for you?
15:00 Don’t Beat Yourself Up
Don’t beat yourself up about what you want. You can shift to accommodate the season based on what you want right now. Look at it as interesting when you learn about yourself. And be mindful of the words that you’re using. Just follow the heart tugs, and don’t make it wrong.
